John Denver was a superstar artist who was a hit by his popular-folk hits, many of which were based in Colorado. Henry John Deutschendorf Jr. was born Henry John Germandorf at Roswell located in the state of New Mexico,, was in Love with Colorado. He moved to Aspen. Denver's famous anthems about Colorado have inspired many people to relocate to Colorado. G. Brown of Colorado Music Hall of Fame, the hall's curator of fame, stated: "I don't believe there anyone else who has as much a connection to Colorado as John Denver." Denver is the Hall of Fames' initial inductee, was honoured by the honor in 2011. For many, Denver is the symbol of Colorado. In my journeys, you encounter someone on the other side of the world one who is from New Zealand and you say 'I'm originally from Colorado and the first thing out of their mouth is Oh John Denver! Brown stated. Take Me Home Country Roads was one of Denver's top 10 hits after performing with smaller folk groups. It was co-written by and performed by Bill Danoff. Danoff was credited with Johnny Cash as the inspiration for the tune, however Denver realized that it could be a huge hit after he heard an earlier version. He recorded it within a couple of days of having performed on stage in Washington D.C. before an audience that was very enthusiastic.
