Alexandra-Maria-Lara

Alexandra Maria Lara (born in Romania) is the Romanian TV presenter and actress. She is best known for her role as the star of Rush, Downfall Youth Without Youth Control, and Rush. Alexandra Maria Lara the only son of Romanian film actor Valentin Platareanu. When she was 16 she portrayed the lead part in a variety of TV dramas. Her critically acclaimed performance in the made-for-television film Der Tunnel paved way for many other noteworthy roles, including the role of Adolf Hitler's secretary Traudl Junge from the commercially and critically successful Oscar nominated historical war drama film Downfall. The Reader as well as Der Baader Meinhof Komplex were also nominated for Oscars. Alexandra is known for her involvement in many noteworthy projects both domestically as well as internationally. They include British biographical films like Control and The Dust of Time as along with the French history mini-series Napoleon. She has also been an adjudicator at the Transylvania International Film Festival as in the Cannes Film Festival.
